  Pickle Barrel used to be an enjoyable affordable and properly portioned restaurant...that was then and this is now. Its clear to see they could not care less about their repeat visitors. Every time you return you are let down further. Each time in my last four visits (its one of the only breakfast restaurants in my neighborhood) they have increased prices and reduced portions on almost every app and main. On top of that service is generally tardy and uninformed, they hardly know whats available and have generally been misinformed about all of there pricing, ingredients and portions. I used to enjoy coming here, sadly the feeling does not remain. I plan on making a further drive on mornings i feel like eating out now.

  Get the chicken pesto fettuccini it is the best pasta I've had in a while. It's so good great service and friendly staff. I also like how the food comes out steaming hot. Very good food for the price

  Whenever someone in my group of friends suggests eating here, I have a small warning bell that goes off in the back of my head. This isn't due to a bad experience or any rumours that have hit my ear, it's more of a warning that I've never been satisfied with any meal choice I've ever made while dining here.
  One of the first problems that create this issue is how large the menu is. The waiter/waitress usually has to come around 3 times before I'm able to make a choice of dish - and by this time I've forcibly chosen something because I can't go back and forth between choices anymore.
  Another problem is the timing of dishes being brought out to a group - a minute or two apart is acceptable but when food has been brought out separately 15 to 20 minutes apart, there's something wrong.
  The last issue (and most important) would be the taste of the food. It's not bad... but your menu boasts a much higher flavour pallet than what your food actually offers.
  Step it up in the kitchen to offer what you've advertised or dumb down the menu to match the food you serve.

  Honestly, I've been here maybe 4 times since I've moved to Brampton and every time it's the same thing. Food isn't terrible, there are a few things on the menu I actually love. But the service - ALWAYS slow. At times it is just the servers being inattentive but I have also noticed a lot of the time they are understaffed. There's one man who works there that I see most often and he's great. You can tell he's really trying to give good customer service but his packed section doesn't allow it. Went there for breakfast and mimosas not that long ago - drinks took 20 minutes (we were a group of 6 - all servers) and the place was dead. Although I enjoy the food, I hate going there because I know I will be getting slow service.
